Laser treatments are very effective when applied to small dilated veins, "spider veins", small "clusters", etc. The laser energy applied to dilated veins —in essence, light energy, literally erases them without affecting the skin.
How do laser treatments work?
We use the latest generation of lasers approved by the FDA, which allows for the application of the minimal amount of light energy necessary to eliminate small dilated veins, without pain and without affecting the surrounding tissues.
A specially designed cooling system that touches the skin during treatments, allows them to be pain-free and quick. Treatment sessions for localized small veins take only a few minutes and patients are able to resume their normal activities right away.
The following pictures show the results of treatments for cluster veins in the back of the right knee of a 42 years old female patient. The first treatment included sclerotherapy for the larger veins; The remaining smaller veins were quickly eliminated by using laser energy. The picture to the right shows results six weeks after the last treatment.
